Frequently asked questions

Why does Android warn about an “unknown source” during installation?+

This is Android’s standard warning for packages downloaded by a browser. Only use the GitHub link listed on this site.

Why does the system charge amount look inaccurate?+

This value comes from low-level battery data supplied by the system. Charge limits, calibration error and battery wear vary by device, so it may not match the status-bar percentage; a device may continue charging after the status bar reaches 100%.

Why does a 100W phone sometimes draw only a few dozen watts or even a few watts?+

This is normal. A lit screen, higher temperature and a nearly full battery all limit charging power. Around 30W is also common when temperature is normal and the battery is low. A charger’s rated power does not mean the phone will charge at that level throughout.

Why does the app show a different power from the charger or meter?+

LLPower shows battery-side power, not charger input power. Input energy also covers charging losses and the phone’s own consumption, so a meter usually reads higher; device sensors may also have a small margin of error.

Why is the displayed power clearly wrong on some 100W models?+

Some high-power models use dual-cell batteries. Enable “Dual-cell correction” under “Settings → Hardware correction”. Do not enable it on single-cell models; check your phone’s battery specifications if unsure.

Why is the sign of charge or discharge power reversed?+

Normally, charging is positive and discharging is negative. Small fluctuations around zero after a full charge are normal. If discharge remains positive, enable “Reverse current” under “Settings → Hardware correction”.

Which systems support Live Activity-style notifications?+

The system must support Android Live Updates. ColorOS 16, newer HyperOS versions and some Honor systems support it; behavior depends on the exact system version. Unsupported systems can still use regular notifications.

Why does the Live Activity not appear automatically?+

Lock LLPower in the recent-apps screen, then enable “Hide in background” in the app’s appearance settings to improve automatic display stability.

Why does the Live Activity stop updating or fail to disappear?+

This is usually caused by the manufacturer’s notification or background limits. Follow the “Settings → Stable operation” guide and grant the requested permissions. High temperature or temporary background limits can still cause delays, which usually resolve shortly.

Does the accessibility service read screen content?+

No. This optional service only uses window-state changes as a signal to restore background monitoring. It is configured not to read window content and cannot perform gestures.

Is data uploaded to a server?+

The current version requests no network permission and does not upload battery records to the developer’s servers. Whether Android cloud backup stores app data is controlled by your Android backup settings.
