LLPower currently has no internet access and does not request contacts, SMS, call logs, microphone, camera or location access.
Permission overview
| Permission or access | Purpose | If denied |
|---|---|---|
| Notifications | Show background monitoring status, live power and supported Live Activities. | The main app remains usable, but notifications and Live Activities will not appear. |
| Foreground service | Continuously read battery state and record changes during charging and discharging. | Required by the monitoring service and not presented as a separate user prompt. |
| Start on boot | Restore enabled battery monitoring and widget updates after reboot. | Opening the app manually is unaffected; it must be started again after a reboot. |
| Ignore battery optimization | Reduce monitoring gaps caused by the system pausing work when the screen is off. | It can be denied, but background records and widget refreshes may be interrupted. |
| Exact alarms | Schedule more precise monitoring recovery and widget refreshes when allowed. | The system uses regular scheduling and refreshes may be delayed. |
| Display over other apps | An optional advanced keep-alive feature attaches a transparent, non-interactive window. | Only advanced keep-alive is unavailable; other features are unaffected. |
| Accessibility service | Optionally use window-state changes as a monitoring recovery signal. | Only advanced keep-alive is reduced; other features are unaffected. |
| Wake lock | Keep processing alive briefly so record writes are not interrupted. | Managed by the system and not presented as a separate user prompt. |
| Storage write (Android 9 and below) | Save the support QR image to the gallery. Declared only on older Android versions. | The image cannot be saved; battery monitoring is unaffected. |
About the accessibility service
The accessibility service is an optional advanced keep-alive method and is off by default. The current implementation has these limits:
- It is explicitly configured not to read window content;
- It cannot perform taps, swipes or other gestures;
- It cannot listen for keys or enable touch exploration;
- It does not record screen text, input or used apps;
- It triggers monitoring-service recovery only when the window state changes.
How to revoke permissions
You can revoke access at any time in Android system settings under “Apps → LLPower → Permissions/Special access”. Accessibility, overlay and battery-optimization access can also be disabled in their respective settings pages.
